At the CSU, we work every day to help ensure students have the opportunity to a timely completion of a rigorous, quality degree in preparation for a lifetime of achievement.
To accomplish this, the CSU has transformed academic preparation in an effort to provide all first-year students the opportunity and support needed to be successful in college-level coursework. This website provides guidance on assessment of English and math skills, enrollment in General Education (GE) English and math/quantitative reasoning courses and the Supportive Pathways for First-Year Students Program.
Please Note:
- The CSU no longer uses ACT or SAT examinations in determining admission eligibility for all CSU campuses.
- If accepted to a CSU campus, ACT or SAT test scores can be used as one of the measures for students to enroll in the appropriate mathematics or English (written communication) courses.
