MATH 18A reviews basic concepts in algebra, including complex numbers, functions, graphs, polynomials, inverse functions, and exponential and logarithmic functions. Students who complete MATH 18A with a grade of C- or better may take MATH 18B: Trigonometry in the fall semester to complete Precalculus. Open to category III and IV students in STEM majors or Undeclared. MATH 18A satisfies the Area B4 (quatitative reasoning) GE requirement.

NOTE: Students in MATH 18A must concurrently enroll in a one-unit support lab, MATH 1018AS.
