UNVS 15S reviews concepts and methods of statistics with an emphasis on data analysis. Topics include methods for collecting data, graphical and numerical descriptive statistics, correlation, simple linear regression, basic concepts of probability, confidence intervals and hypothesis test for means and proportions, and chi-square tests. Open to category III and IV students in statistics-based majors or Undeclared. UNVS 15S satisfies the Area B4 (quatitative reasoning) GE requirement and the Elementary Statistics requirement in statistics-based majors.
