Based on your responses, it is projected that you will participate in the Supportive Pathways for First-Year Students Program. You will also enroll in a Supported GE Area A2 English course in the fall of your freshman year. Supported instruction will accompany credit-bearing college-level courses or stretch courses (courses that extend over multiple terms). This will take place at the CSU you attend during your first year and may include summer instruction. Examples of supportive pathways models include:
- Stretch English A2 and math B4 courses (courses extended over multiple terms)
- Labs, mentoring, advising, workshops, or tutoring
- Activities that promote a sense of community and belonging
How Can the Supportive Pathways for First-Year Students Program Help You?
- It gives you the opportunity to earn college credit toward graduation, in some cases the summer before the fall semester.
- The program curriculum is designed to help you prepare for your GE and major coursework requirements.
- The program fosters a sense of community and belonging through services that include support in and out of the classroom experience.
